Where relationships really matter

Everyone says they want to build a relationship with you. At Investa Financial Planning, that means working with you for decades, through career changes, market swings, college expenses, and retirement. Financial planning is not a one-time transaction. It is an ongoing partnership.

Financial planning can feel overwhelming. You may have a stock option plan you don’t fully understand, a pension you’re not sure how to maximize, an estate to settle after a loss. We’re with you for all of it: reviewing documents, making calls on your behalf, and translating the jargon into plain English. Our real measure of success isn’t a return number. It’s whether you hang up the phone feeling like something got easier.

Being independent means we’re not required to sell any one company’s products. We shop the whole market for what’s actually right for you because our only obligation is to you, not to a parent company’s quarterly targets.

Common questions on financial planning and investing

This is the most common question we hear, and we are here to take the guesswork out of it. We help you determine exactly where you stand by analyzing your current savings, projected expenses, and investment strategy. Together, we will build a personalized roadmap so you can confidently transition into retirement on your own timeline.

Your life and the markets are constantly changing, which means your investment strategy shouldn’t be set in stone. We provide a comprehensive review of all your current assets to help determine whether your portfolio is diversified, aligned with your true risk tolerance, and positioned to meet your long-term objectives without taking unnecessary chances.

We believe it is not just about what you earn, but what you keep. Tax planning is a year-round conversation for us. We proactively review your entire financial picture to identify tax-saving opportunities from maximizing your current retirement contributions to implementing tax-efficient withdrawal strategies once you retire.

Growing your wealth is only half the equation; protecting it is just as important. We help you evaluate your current risk exposure to help determine whether your family is financially prepared for unexpected life events. We also work with you to verify that your estate plans and beneficiaries are perfectly up to date.

Navigating stock options, restricted stock units, 401(k) choices, and deferred compensation can be overwhelming. We help you untangle your corporate benefits, helping ensure your workplace compensation is fully integrated into your broader wealth-building strategy so you can make the most of available opportunities.

Absolutely. If making a positive impact is important to you, we can help you design a values-based investment portfolio. We will screen for companies and funds that align with your specific ethical, environmental, or social priorities, allowing you to grow your wealth while supporting the causes you care about most.
